Description:
The existing 36,000 SF library consisted of an
original building with two major additions. While adding 12,000 SF, the
interior was completely gutted and reorganized. Two primary facades were
wrapped and refaced to give the library a new identity, masonry and glass
elements were composed to hint at interior activities. A clock tower was
introduced to give the building a strong vertical identifier that
signifies the community center and relates to the new entry.
